Welcome

The James C. Grimm Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a student run honorary organization here at the University of Florida. We are dedicated to providing recognition to members of the UF campus community that provide outstanding service to students in the residence halls.

Nationally, NRHH was established in 1965 as a service of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). The University of Florida Chapter of NRHH was established in 1981 and was renamed the James C. Grimm Chapter in 2000 to honor the years of service given by former Director of Housing James C. Grimm.

Membership in NRHH is limited to 1% of the resident-student population. As such our chapter has a cap of 75 members. Members of NRHH are first nominated by a housing staff member or student leader, then submit an application for membership, and are finally voted on by the current membership of the organization. This tapping process takes place each Fall and Spring Semester.

NRHH meetings are held approximately once per month. Please see our calendar for days/times/locations. All members are encouraged to attend. It is our hope that these meetings will serve as planning opportunities to work on ways to provide recognition to the members of our residence hall community.
